About Dennis Design Works
Dennis Design Works is a small business located in North Dakota owned and operated by a Thomas & Andrea Dennis. The company has two operations; a web development business as well as a craft and sewing business that sells its items under the Girl Saturday name. This site is dedicated to the web development business. The majority of our clients are small businesses that understand the Internet can create opportunities, but may not either have the time or skill set to take advantage of what is possible. In addition, hiring someone to do the work may not always make financial sense. We understand this. Our mission is to provide high quality work at a price that fits a business' budget needs. We have clients that have worked with us for more than 15 years because of our ability to provide them with a product that helps the bottom line instead of taking a piece of the bottom line. We understand the needs of Small Businesses because we are a small business.
Our web development business was started in 1999 by Thomas Dennis and Douglas Beckett as Ideal Computer Concepts. While the business has changed names, the spirit is the same. While the founding members now operate independently, we have the same common goal - helping small businesses grow by taking advantage of the opportunities the Internet can provide.
Our first site was on a now abandoned community called Geocities. The excitement of being able to create our first line of code to say “Hello World” is still memorable. The business formed when a mortgage company and a few realtors wanted to use this new invention called the world wide web to market their business. At the time Netscape had released their 3.0 browser that started moving users from American Online to the web only 2 years earlier. This was really the beginning stages of the web as we know it today. Since that time we have been evolving as well. We are proud of the fact that we are part of a select group of people that have been around prior to the year 2000.
In the years since we started the company we have worked with a wide range of small businesses, community and Non-Profit organization, as well as city and county governments. We have managed to stay around because before we ever take on a new client we spend time with all interested parties to make sure we understand what is needed, are able to complete the work in a timely fashion, and able to meet the ongoing site administration requirements of the client. While we never like to say no to new businesses, it is essential that those key questions be answered to the complete satisfaction of the clients and us.
